Oettinger Eduard Maria (1808–1872)
Oettinger or Öttinger, Eduard Maria (ėt’ing-er). A German journalist and novelist; born in Breslau in 1808; died in 1872. He edited several satirical journals; and published a number of novels, among which is ‘Onkel Zebra’ (7 vols., 1843).
