Alfred Ollivant (1874–1927)

Ollivant, Alfred. An English author; born in 1874; died in 1927. He was commissioned in the Royal Artillery in 1893 but resigned in 1895, owing to disability caused by a fall from a horse and turned his attention to literature. He wrote: ‘Owd Bob’ (1898) published in America as ‘Bob, Son of Battle’; ‘Danny’ (1902); ‘The Royal Road’ (1912).
