Duffield Osborne (1858–1917)

Osborne, (Samuel) Duffield. An American novelist; born at Brooklyn, NY, June 20, 1858; died in 1917. His works are: ‘The Spell of Ashtaroth’ (1888); ‘The Robe of Nessus’ (1890), a historical novel; ‘The Angels of Messer Ercole’ (1907); ‘Xanthippe on Woman Suffrage’ (1915).
