Richard Barnfield (1574–1627)

Barnfield, Richard. An English poet; born at Norbury, Staffordshire, in June 1574; died in March 1627. A poetical disciple of Shakespeare and Spenser, he published ‘The Affectionate Shepherd’ (1594); ‘Cynthia’ (1595); ‘Lady Pecunia’ (1598).
