Powers, Horatio Nelson. An American clergyman, literary critic, and poet; born at Amenia, NY, April 30, 1826; died in 1890. Among his works are: ‘Through the Year’ (1875); ‘Poems, Early and Late’ (1876); ‘Ten Years of Song’ (1887); ‘Lyrics of the Hudson.’
