Vasco Mauzinho de Quebedo (d. c. 1627)

Quebedo, Vasco Mauzinho de (kā-vā’THō), known also as Mauzinho Quevedo de Castello Branco. A Portuguese poet, born at Setubal in the latter part of the sixteenth century; died some time after 1627. He was educated at the University of Coimbra. He wrote a history of Santa Isabel, Queen of Portugal; also ‘Affonso Africano’ (1611), a brilliant piece of work.
