Gustave Rivet (1848–1936)

Rivet, Gustave (rē-vā’). A French littérateur; born at Domène (Isère), Jan. 25, 1848. He wrote a number of dramas, some of which have appeared on the French stage. His writings include: ‘Lost Voices’ (1874); poems; ‘Victor Hugo at Home’ (1878); ‘The Punishment’ (1879), a drama; ‘Marie Touchet’ (1881), a drama; and ‘The Quest of Paternity’ (1890).
