Salvador Sanfuentes (1817–1860)

Sanfuentes, Salvador (sän-fwen’tās). A Chilian poet; born in Santiago, Feb. 2, 1817; died there, July 17, 1860. Among his works are: ‘Caupolican,’ a drama in verse (1835); ‘El Campanario’ (1838); ‘Teudo; or, Memories of a Solitary’ (1858); and ‘Chile, from the Battle of Chacabuco to that of Maipo’ (1850).
