Thomas Marie François Sauvage (1794–1877)

Sauvage, Thomas Marie François (sō-väzh’). A French dramatist; born at Paris, 1794; died there, 1877. Among his plays are: ‘The Portfolio; or, the Impromptu Lord’ (1820); ‘Margaret of Anjou’ (1826); ‘The Drunkard’ (1830); ‘A Provincial Conspiracy’ (1832); ‘The Sea Wolf’ (1840); ‘The Amazon’ (1846); ‘The Carnival of Venice’ (1860); ‘My Lord’s Coat’ (1862).
