Albert Shaw (1857–1947)

Shaw, Albert. An American editor and writer on municipal government; born at Shandon, OH, July 23, 1857; died in 1947. After 1891 he was the editor of the Review of Reviews in America. Included in his publications are: ‘Icaria: a Chapter in the History of Communism’ (1884); ‘Co-operation in a Western City’ (1886); and ‘The National Revenue’ (1888). ‘Municipal Government in Great Britain’; ‘Municipal Government in Continental Europe’; ‘Political Problems of American Development’ (1907).
