Smyth, [Samuel] Newman [Phillips]. An American clergyman and religious writer; born in Brunswick, ME, June 25, 1843; died in 1925. His publications include: ‘Old Faiths in New Light’; ‘The Orthodox Theology of To-day’; ‘The Morality of the Old Testament’; ‘Personal Creeds’; ‘Christian Ethics’; ‘The Religious Feeling’; and ‘The Reality of Faith.’
