Evelyn Greenleaf Baker Sutherland (1855–1908)

Sutherland, Evelyn Greenleaf Baker. An American journalist and playwright; born in Cambridge, MA; died in 1908. For many years dramatic critic on various Boston papers, she also contributed widely to magazines and periodicals. Author of: ‘Po’ White Trash and Other One-Act Dramas’ (1899); ‘In Office Hours and Other Vaudeville Sketches’ (1899); also ‘Fort Frayne’ (with Gen. Charles King), and adapter of ‘Monsieur Beaucaire’ with the author.
