Bertha von Suttner (1843–1914)

Suttner, Baroness Bertha von (söt’ner). An Austrian author and ardent worker for the cause of peace; born in Prague, June 9, 1843; died in 1914. She published ‘The Inventory of a Soul’ (1882); ‘Lay Down Your Arms’ (1890); ‘The Peace Conference at The Hague’ (1900); ‘Martha’s Children’ (1902).
