Alexander Edwin Sweet (1841–1901)

Sweet, Alexander Edwin. An American journalist; born in St. John, NB, March 28, 1841; died in New York City, May 20, 1901. He served in the Confederate army in the Civil War; was editor of the San Antonio (Texas) Herald, and of Texas Siftings from 1881. He published ‘Three Dozen Good Stories from Texas Siftings’; and with J. Amory Knox, ‘On a Mexican Mustang through Texas.’
