Tailliar, Eugène François Joseph (tī’är’). A French juristic writer; born at Douai, 1803; died there, July 8, 1878. Among his writings are: ‘Essay on the History of the Institutions of Northern France in the Celtic Era’ (1852); ‘Usages and Ancient Customs of the County of Guysnes’ (1856); ‘Essay on the History of Institutions’ (1859).
