Tarbell, Ida Minerva. An American writer; born in Erie Co., PA, Nov. 5, 1857; died in 1944. She is the author of ‘Madam Roland’; ‘Early Life of Abraham Lincoln’ (1896); ‘History of the Standard Oil Co.’ (1904); ‘He Knew Lincoln’ (1907); ‘The Tariff in Our Times’ (1911).
