Ezra Abbot (1819–1884)

Abbot, Ezra. An American Greek scholar; born at Jackson, ME, April 28, 1819; died at Cambridge, MA, March 21, 1884. He was one of the editors of the American edition of Smith’s ‘Bible Dictionary,’ and one of the American committee of New Testament revisers. He wrote ‘The Authorship of the Fourth Gospel’ (1880).
