Louis Untermeyer (1885–1977)

Untermeyer, Louis. An American writer; born at New York, Oct. 1, 1885; died in 1977. His volumes are: ‘The Younger Quire,’ poems (1910); ‘First Love’ (1911); ‘Challenge’ (1914); ‘— and Other Poets,’ a collection of parodies (1916). He compiled ‘Modern American Poetry’ (1919) and ‘Modern British Poetry’ (1920).
