Carolina Wilhelmina Michaëlis de Vasconcellos (1851–1925)

Vasconcellos, Carolina Wilhelmina Michaëlis de. A German-Portuguese littérateur, wife of J. A.; born at Berlin, March 15, 1851; died in 1925. She was a contributor to the leading literary magazines and reviews of Germany and Portugal, and wrote: ‘Studies on the Meanings of Spanish Words’ (1886); ‘Romance Studies’ (1891); ‘History of Portuguese Literature’ (1893); ‘Etymological Fragments’ (1894).
