Bernart de Ventadorn (Twelfth Century)

Bernart de Ventadour (ber-när’ de ven-tä-dör’). A Provençal troubadour poet; born in Ventadour (?) about 1125 (?); died in the monastery at Dalon about 1197 (?). Love songs ‘To Eleonore,’ and various amatory lays to courtly dames, form the riches of his delicate verse.
