Brofferio, Angelo (brof-fā’rē-ō). An Italian poet and journalist; born near Asti, Piedmont, in 1802; died on May 26, 1866. He wrote several dramas and comedies; ‘Salvator Rosa’; ‘Return of the Prescript’; ‘My Cousin’; ‘All for the Best’: they met with much popular favor.
