Konstantin Aksakov (1817–1860)
Aksakov, Konstantin Sergeyévich (äk-sä’kof). A Russian poet and prose-writer (1817–60), son of the following. From 1846 he was the leader of the Slavophile party, and one of the most active contributors to all periodicals of that tendency. Works: ‘The Life of the Old Slavs in General and of the Russians in Particular’ (1852); ‘Prince Lupovickij,’ a comedy (1857); ‘Oleg before Constantinople,’ a dramatic parody (1858); ‘Lyrics.’
