Train, George Francis. An American lecturer and writer, noted for his eccentricities; born in Boston, March 24, 1829; died at New York, 1904. He wrote: ‘An American Merchant in Europe, Asia, and Australia’ (1857); ‘Young America Abroad’ (1857); ‘Young America in Wall Street’ (1858); ‘Spread-Eagleism’ (1859); ‘Every Man his own Autocrat’ (1859); ‘Observations on Street Railways’; ‘Union Speeches’ (1862); ‘Downfall of England’ (1865); and ‘Championship of Woman.’
