Jean Baptiste Say (1767–1832)

Say, Jean Baptiste (sä). A noted French economist; born in 1767; died in 1832. He popularized the theories of Adam Smith in France. His best-known work is ‘Treatise on Political Economy’ (1803); but widely read also were ‘Catechism of Political Economy’ (1815); ‘Complete Course in Practical Political Economy’ (1829); and ‘Views of Men and Society’ (1817).
