Howe, Mark Antony de Wolfe. An American editor and essayist; born at Bristol, RI, Aug. 28, 1864; died in 1960. He wrote: ‘Shadows’ (1897); ‘American Bookmen’ (1898); ‘Life and Letters of George Bancroft’ (1908); ‘Harmonies’ (1909); ‘Life and Labors of Bishop Hare’ (1911).
