Sergey Aksakov (1791–1859)

Aksakov, Sergey Timofeyévich (äk-sä’kof). A Russian author (1791–1859), distinguished for a rare charm of diction and warmth of feeling, especially apparent in his principal work, ‘Family Chronicle and Reminiscences’ (1856), a masterly description of Russian family life; ‘The Childhood of Bagróff the Grandson’ (1858), a sequel to the former.
