Wilhelm Lauser (1836–1902)

Lauser, Wilhelm (lou’ser). A German publicist; born at Stuttgart, June 15, 1836; died on Nov. 11, 1902. He spent several years in France and Spain, and in foreign travel, and wrote: ‘Contemporary Spain’ (1872); ‘History of Spain from the Fall of Isabella to the Accession of Alfonso XII.’ (1877); ‘In all Directions: Stories of my Travels’ (1889); ‘The First Picaresque Romance: Lazarillo de Tormes’ (1889).
