A pail of water can be whirled in a vertical circular path such
that no water is spilled. Why does the water remain in the pail,
even when the pail is upside down above your head?

Step 1

The water remains in the pail and does not spill due to the inertia of the water. The tendency of the water is to move along the straight line (as per the Newton’s First law of motion) but the pail pulls the water inwards in a circle.
