A water barometer is used to measure air pressure in a duct where the air is being forced to ventilate a building. One end of the barometer is open to the atmosphere, and the other end is open to the inside of the ductwork.  When the tube is bent in the shape of a U, the technician notes that the water level on the side toward the duct is lower than the side toward the atmosphere by 13.4 cm.  What is the pressure difference in N/m2?  The density of water is 1 gm/cm3  or 1000 kg/m3.   Use 9.8 m/s2 for the acceleration of gravity.
