There are 4 major classes of biological macromolecule namely nucleic acids, proteins, carboydrates and lipids. Nucleic acids are polymers of nucleotides, proteins are composed of amino acids, carbohydrates are polymers of sugars while lipids are composed of numerous lipid monomers.
