(1)  Budgeting: Production must always be done keeping the budget in mind. A production manager must be aware of overall budget of the plant because meeting production goals totally depends on the financial resources available in the company. Any production plan that is equivalent to marketing plan will use sales projections as its budget. Revenue from sales is directly proportional to the production level in the company. When revenue begins to fall, then the production must reduce the production.
