Question

I don't know what I'm doing wrong with the following problem.

Find the derivative of the function by the limit process.

F(x)= 7/x

To solve we use the following formula.

F(x+Delta X) - F(x) / Delta X

When I plug F(x) in the the problem it looks like this.

F(7/x+ DeltaX) - (7/x2) / DeltaX

I'm completely confused on how to proceed foward.

In order to get what’s in the numerator into the denominator, do we multiply everything thats in the numerator (7/x2  +DeltaX) - (7/x2) by whats in the denominator?
