Question

I am having problems calculating the population variance. I am okay for the first 4 steps in the procedure to finding the population variance and the population standard deviation. i get getting the incorrect answer when i try to divide by "N" to get the variance. it is not a problem in the textbook but it is problem in ConnectMath.

Step 1

Variance tell us about the spread of the data distribution. Population variance tell us about how data points in particular population are spread out. It is the average of the distances of each data point in population from its mean, squared. It can be calculated by following formula.

Population standard deviation can be found out by square root of Population variance.
