The energy entering the top of the atmosphere will be equal to the energy leaving the top of the atmosphere. The incoming and outgoing energy of the earth's surface and the atmosphere must be balanced. About 23% of the incoming radiation from sun is absorbed by clouds, water-vapour and ozone and the remaining energy to the atmosphere comes to atmospfere from evaporation from surface.
