Step 1

The digestive system is made up of the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) or digestive tract and liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. The organs that constitute the GI tract are mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and anus. So, the GI tract is a series of organs from mouth to anus. The three main functions of the GI tract are transportation, digestion, and absorption of food. So, if there is any problem in the GI tract then the digestion of food may compromise.

Any problem in the GI tract can lead to digestive problems. Like excessive acid in the stomach can causes acidosis, which results in choking of esophagus and chest pain.
