Step 1

For zero-order kinetics, the rate of reaction does not change with change in concentration thus, the rate of a given reaction maybe 1st, 2nd or 3rd order. However, 3rd order reaction rarely occurs in nature.

Step 2

The rate constant in accordance with 1st order kinetic and 2nd order kinetic is calculated as shown in equation (1) and (2) respectively. Where k1 and k2 are the rates constant for 1st order kinetic and 2nd order kinetic respectively. Also, t is for time, [R]0, and [R] is the initial concentration and the final concentration of an organic nitrile respectively.
