For a faster moving ball which rolls off the tabletop, the vertical component of the velocity Vy will remain the same. That just depends on the height from which the ball falls. For the faster moving ball, the horizontal component of the velocity Vx will be large. /v,² + V,² . The overall velocity V is given by V= Vx is larger for a faster moving ball, so the ball will hit the ground with a higher speed.
