Expert Solution
Step 1
The procedure of acid-base titration is a type of quantitative analysis. The concentration of acid or base is determined by neutralization of the acid and base together. An unknown concentration of one of the components is neutralized by a standard known solution of another component. A pH indicator is used to determine the extent of the neutralization. If the dissociation constant of the acid or the dissociation constant of the base present in the analyte is already known, the concentration of the unknown solution can be determined.
