What is the solubility rule? What is a typical polar solvent? What is a typical non-polar solvent?

What is the solubility rule? What is a typical polar solvent? What is a typical non-polar solvent?

Step 1

The extent of (solid, liquid or gaseous) solute quantity that dissolves in particular given amount of solvent which also be in solid, liquid or in gas phase at definite pressure and temperature conditions is determined as solubility of the solute.

Step 2

The solubility rule is the “Like dissolves like”. It means polar solvent dissolves the polar compound and the non-polar solvent dissolve the non-polar compound.

Step 3

Compounds having same type of intermolecular forces has capability to soluble in each another since...
