Question

What symmetry is represented in echinoderms?

Expert Solution
Step 1

There are three types of symmetry-

1. Bilateral symmetry- means that the organism when cut vertically will divide into two equal right and left halves.

2. Radial symmetry- means that the organism is arranged in the shape of a wheel which means that any longitudinal cut will give off equal half.

3. Asymmetry- When cut along any axis organism is not divided into equal half.
