Question

You have an empty 2.00L soda bottle and a 50.0 g block of solid CO2. (Question cont. in photo) Please show all work!

You have an empty 2.00 L soda bottle and a 50.0 g block of solid CO2. Suppose you
place the block of CO, into the bottle then seal the bottle immediately. Calculate the
pressure exerted by the CO2 on the bottle after all of the CO2 has sublimated (turned
from solid into gas) if room temperature is 25°C. (P.S. Please don't try this!)
R=0.0821 (atm*L) / (mol*K) or 8.314 (kPa*L / mol*K) or 62.36 (torr*L/mol*K)
Pressure conversions: 760 mmHg = I atm = 760 torr = I.01325 x 105 Pa
