Summary Introduction

Case summary:

Person X is working as a nurse in oncology unit (during her nursing school). Person X meets Person RP who is 38 years old and suffering from metastatic colon cancer. Person RP underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Due to this, his body became weak and malnourished.

Additionally, he was undergoing numerous intravenous treatments. He had ulcer and colostomy, which required special care. The orientation received by Person X was brief due to short staffing.

Person X was in night shift and the other nurse asked to care and perform several tasks to Person RP. Person X has to perform the task even though she is unfamiliar with a few tasks because other nurses were busy and she has to help them. Due to her lack of familiarity and skills, Person X has to face some difficulties by performing on her own as she could put the patient in risk, intimidating the license of the nurses.
