Program Plan Intro

STP:

• STP stands for Spanning Tree Protocol is used to builds a loop-free logical topology that used for Ethernet networks.
• Preventing bridge loops and the broadcast radiation are the basic function of STP.
• It calculates paths which avoids potential loops and artificially blocks the links that would complete a loop.
• If a switch is removed, STP will re-calculate the best loop-free data paths among the remaining switches.
• The BPDU (Bridge Protocol Data Units) is used by STP for transmitting information between switches.
  • The BPDU guard blocks BPDUs on any port serving network hosts.
  • The BPDU filter disables STP on particular ports.

Internet Service Provider (ISP):

• An organization that provides access to the internet and related services to individual users and businesses is known as Internet Service Provider.
• Internet Service Provider accesses the internet through phone, cable, DSL (Digital Subscriber Line), satellite, or fiber optic lines for a charge.
• Internet Service Provider’s other name is Internet Access Provider.
• Internet Service Provider offers services like Internet access, Internet transit, Domain name registration, Hosting and many such.
• Internet Service Provider has been designed for different categories such as Personal, Business, School, Non-profit, Politics, Military/Private, Sports and many others.
