Expert Solution & Answer
Check Mark

Explanation of Solution

For Company M, food distributors and restaurant product (plates, napkins, etc.) suppliers are the suppliers. Production units would be located in the retail sites and the products would be easily accessible in the customer markets. As the foods cannot be stored in larger amount, the inventory level would be small. Trucking is the primary mode of transportation used by Company M.

For Company T, raw materials manufacturers and auto parts manufacturers are the suppliers. For the Just-In-Time production, items will be received on-demand and some of the items would be stored in warehouses as inventory. Large plants will be available with heavy-machineries for the production purpose and it would be available near the proximity for the ease in transportation services. All modes of transportation will be used.
