Explain why casting is an important manufacturing process

Explanation of Solution

Casting is the ideal method for manufacturing of complex shapes. Compared to the alternative manufacturing process, in casting intricate types of shapes can be very easily done. Other than the ease of application, casting makes way for a greater internal pressure at the time of manufacturing. Casting withstands compressive residual stresses.
