To explain: The significance of mitosis and describe the process.
Introduction: Cell division is a process in which a cell splits into daughter cells. In the process of cell division, the chromatin present in the nucleus shrinks and forms a thread-like structure called the chromosomes. There are mainly two types of cell division: mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis occurs in somatic cell, and meiosis occurs in reproductive cells.
