Explanation of Solution

Cell division is an important event in which the division of parental cells leads to the two or more daughter cells. The cell division is taken place by mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis involves a single nuclear division after DNA replication. In mitosis, two daughter cell is produced, and a particular cell contains the original number of chromosome.

Whereas, meiosis involves two nuclear division without DNA replication and produces four daughter cells. Every daughter cells contain half of the original number of chromosomes because crossing over takes place in the prophase I of meiosis.
