Program Plan Intro

To explain three main types of testing techniques and the order in which they are executed.

Program Explanation

Testing is performed in any system to check whether the developed system works as per the requirements or not.

The three main types of testing are:

  • Unit testing
  • Integration testing
  • System testing

Unit Testing:

  • Unit testing is defined as the process of testing individual module or program and is considered as a part of White box testing.
  • The main objective of unit testing is to identify the execution error that makes a program to terminate and eliminate that error.
  • The programmer performs this test frequently to test that the expected output is produced against the given input for the unit he/she has implemented.

Integration Testing:

  • Integration testing is defined as the process of testing two or more dependent programs and is also known as link testing.
