Concept introduction:
The atomic radius of an element is used to measure and compare the size of atoms of an element. Atomic radius is defined as the distance from the nucleus to the outermost shell in which the valence electron of the element resides. The electrons reside in the principal energy levels which are present at varying distance from the nucleus.
