Introduction:
The division of cells and reproduction occur with the help of two mechanisms, namely meiosis and mitosis. Mitosis gives rise to two daughter cells that are genetically identical to the parent cells. Meiosis gives rise to four daughter cells, which have exactly half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell.
